Women's Cross Country

Brittney Martin
- Title:
- Student Assistant
2014 marked Martin's first season as an assistant for the Millersville women's cross country team. She helped lead two Marauder runners to All-PSAC honors for the first time since 2000 as both Shannon Cruz (22nd/22:37.1) and Abigail Daley (30th/22:55.5) were named to the All-PSAC Second Team. Cruz also earned All-Region honors for the second-consecutive season at Slippery Rock where she placed 20th with a time of 23:18.1. She also helped Millersville to a pair of top-10 team finishes at the 4K portion of the Dickinson Long/Short Invitational (8th/40) and Lock Haven (8th/19).
Martin competed in both cross country and track and field at Seton Hill for one season before competing for Young from 2011-14. She was quite successful in three seasons for Millersville cross country as she scored in the top five of all six races as a sophomore, was arguably the teams second-best runner as a junior and scored in two more events as a senior. On the track, she competed for two seasons and that includes setting the school's outdoor record in the 4x800 (9:16.53) at the 2014 Outdoor PSAC Championships in Shippensburg.
