Alysia Smith was named the head coach of the Millersville University cheerleading team in July of 2019.
Smith, a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, was most recently the assistant varsity cheerleading coach at Lower Dauphin High School. She is also an elementary special education teacher for the Lower Dauphin School District.
Smith cheered for four years as an undergraduate at Cal U and was a member of the competitive squad for two years, placing fourth at the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Collegiate Nationals as a junior and winning the national championship as a senior. She is a head instructor for the NCA with six years of experience.
