Morgan Academic Center

The purpose of the Millersville University Academic Support Program is to provide student athletes with a framework for developing sound study habits as well as more access to University academic support services with the goal of becoming independent learners.

The Morgan Academic Center for Student Athletes, located on the first floor of Lehigh Hall, will be available daily between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays-Friday and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday-Thursday. The center will be closed on Saturday and Sundays. Additional hours, must be coordinated and monitored by the head coach.

In this environment, students will be expected to be academically productive and respect other students’ educational pursuits. The Department of Athletics staff will monitor students in the Morgan Academic Center. The Department of Athletics does not require all of the hours to be completed in the Morgan Academic Center.
All first year and returning student athletes below a cumulative grade point average of a 2.5 will be required to complete a minimum of 4 hours of study hall per week. Students can achieve four hours per week through the following services:
  • Morgan Academic Center for Student Athletes
  • Team or Individual study hall
  • Utilization of campus resources (Math lab, Office of Learning Services, etc.), as approved by the Head Coach.
Reservation System:
The center is open for walk-in, however there are times in which the center is at capacity. It is recommended that students reserve space to guarantee there is availability.  

Peer Mentoring/Tutoring Schedule in Morgan Academic Center

  • Math: Monday evenings, 7-9 p.m. (Room 126)
    • Supports MATH 090, 100 and 101
  • Biology: Tuesday evenings, 7-9 p.m. (Room 126)
    • Supports: BIOL 100, 101, 211, 221, 362, 364
  • ECON: TBA
    • Supports ECON 101 and 102
