LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) released its 2026 preseason poll for women's soccer Wednesday afternoon.
The Marauders are slotted fifth in the Eastern Division, one spot higher than their 2025 preseason ranking. Millersville returned to the PSAC Tournament for the first time last season and made an impressive run to the PSAC semifinals. The Marauders knocked off Bloomsburg in the opening round following an impressive comeback before shutting out top-seeded Slippery Rock in the quarterfinals. Their run came to a close following a tight semifinal bout against Kutztown.
Head coach Matt Procopio returns with a young Marauder core led by senior standout Aubrey Strohecker, who had a career season in 2025 with 13 goals and seven assists, totaling 33 points. Joining her is Lia Francis, who has been an All-PSAC East selection in each of her first two seasons as a Marauder. Senior Melanie Love is another key returner for Procopio and will help guide the back line entering her final year as a Marauder.
West Chester sits atop the Eastern Division after receiving seven of the eight votes. The Marauders split their two matches with the Golden Rams last season and will look to make another statement in 2026. Slippery Rock sits atop the Western Division, narrowly edging Gannon by one vote.
