LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- Kelly Cleaver's dominance in a 1-1 week for the Marauders earned her PSAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks. In a 1-1 week for the Marauders, Cleaver was the anchor of the 'Ville defense, averaging 6.5 blocks and a steal in the two games against Shippensburg and Mansfield.
In their first overtime thriller of the week, Wednesday against Shippensburg, Cleaver had four blocks and a steal, partnered with eight points and seven rebounds.
On Saturday, the block party continued when Cleaver was one block away from breaking the single-game block record, with nine against Mansfield, but the Sophomore Forward still has plenty of career left to achieve such a feat. Cleaver also had 15 points, nine rebounds, and a steal in the game on Saturday, making it one of her career bests. The last Marauder to record nine blocks was Shelly Bowie in a game against Mansfield in 1984.
Cleaver will look to continue her dominance in a game this Wednesday against Shepherd. In their first match-up, she had three blocks and a steal.
