Marauders suffer third conference loss in row as conference play dwindles down

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville University women's basketball team dropped its third straight contest in a crucial match-up against PSAC East-leading Lock Haven University, 75-51. The Bald Eagles remain the only PSAC East team to clinch a postseason berth while the Marauders continue battling for a playoff spot. Millersville shot 33.9% from the field and 27.8% from 3-point range in the loss.
The Marauders opened the game with intensity, taking a 14-13 first quarter lead. Bryn Zentner, Daniella Ranieli, Carley Berk, and Morgan Mahoney combined for nine points off turnovers and added 10 points in the paint during the opening frame.
Offensive momentum slowed in the second quarter as Millersville managed just nine points. Ranieli, Gabby Bowes, and Zentner sparked a brief push in the third quarter, combining for 15 points, but the Marauders were unable to sustain the rally as Lock Haven pulled away down the stretch. Lock Haven out-scored Millersville 49-24 in the second and third quarters to pull away.
