Waters named PSAC East Athlete of the Week for second time

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Millersville University senior Day Waters averaged 23 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game in leading Millersville to a 2-0 week in PSAC East play, and on Monday, he was named PSAC East Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.

Waters scored 28 points with nine rebounds, a career-high five steals and two assists in the win over Kutztown. He followed that performance with 18 points, eight rebounds, a steal and a blocked shot against Bloomsburg. His nine free throws made against Bloomsburg were a season high.

Waters has scored double-digit points in 18 of the Marauders' 19 games. He's totaled10 steals in the last six games and pulled down five or more rebounds in six consecutive games. Averaging 20 points per game, Waters ranks second in the PSAC in scoring average.

Waters previously earned the athlete of the week in December, and he has also won the defensive athlete of the week award twice in his career.
