Marauders encounter No. 13 East Stroudsburg

ABOUT THE GAME

Both PSAC East teams are 1-1 in the conference, they both suffered a loss to No. 3 West Chester. East Stroudsburg has won the last 10 games in the series since 2017. Millersville has demonstrated its ability to hang with nationally ranked teams such as New Haven and West Chester. East Stroudsburg is a nationally ranked team with a loss to WCU but a major win against No. 13 Kutztown.

Millersville has dropped their past games to nationally ranked opponents. Overall they are 5–2 on the season and 1–1 in conference play.
Even facing ranked opponents, the Marauders have landed in double-digit figures when scoring.
Millersville has five players in double-digits scoring goals. Kaleigh Funk leads with 17, followed by Rachel Keeney (17) and Ashlyn Simonetti (17). tied in second. Mary Moraca has tallied 15 and trailing is Ella Linthicum with 12. Keeney leads in assists recording 14.
Keeney and Linthicum had season-highs in their last game against West Chester. Keeney had five assists while Linthicum scored four goals.
Moraca has been stellar off the draw control. She has 53 draw control possessions to her name, averaging 7.57 draws per game.
Sophomore KC O'Neill has started in all seven games. Her record in net is 5–2. O'Neill poses an 11.41 goals against average with 45 saves on the season.

East Stroudsburg is 4–3 with two close losses against WCU and Adelphi. The Warriors had a bounce-back win against No. 13 Kutztown 18–9 to enter this game on a one-game win streak.
Sadie Kauffman leads the Warrior's attack in goals (36) and assists (11). She is ranked second in the PSAC in goals scored and assists.
Sophomore Ariana Tucci is the second leading goal scorer and assister for the Warriors. The young talent has notched 21 goals and 10 assists.
Abby Simonetti is the starting goalkeeper for the Warriors. The senior has started every game for the black and red. Simonetti posted 10.14 goals against average and logged 86 saves for a .548 save percentage. She ranks second in the PSAC with her save percentage and saves per game (12.29).
Their offense has been able to edge their opponents in several categories. scoring 101 goals to opponents 71, assisting 50 shots, and recording 207 shots placing .768 percent on target.
When pressure is applied, the Warriors are prone to turnover the ball, as they have done that 121 times in seven games.

Millersville and No. 13 East Stroudsburg will battle this upcoming Saturday. The Marauders will try and break the streak and upset a top-10 team to bounce back into the win category.
