Box Score HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — In the Marauders final dual of their spring break trip, men's tennis came out on top against Thomas More on Friday night, winning 5–2.
 
It was the first time this season the team swept its opponent in the doubles slate, and the Marauders strong start allowed them to jump ahead early. Lino Morin and Sebas Castro worked out of the top pairing, defeating Samuel Mimbrero Lendinez and Magnus Hauska 6–3. One spot lower, Jasper de Koning and Paul Bagnouls had an identical result against Steven Chen and Jacob Eddingfield. Wrapping up the first half of play, Sandor Wulf and Joel Oetliker defeated Reggie Bechtel and Dason Herrington 6–4 to complete the sweep.
 
The Marauders momentum carried over into singles play for the bottom half of their lineup, starting with de Koning in the third seed picking up a 7–5, 6–1 win against Eddingfield. Castro took care of business against Chen with a 6–0, 6–1 win, and Wulf took a lengthy two-set win over Herrington, 7–5, 7–6. In the final match of the day, Oetliker bested Bechtel by the score of 6–3, 6–4. 
 
The Marauders improved to 4–4 with the win and finish their trip with a 2–1 record while down south. With a little bit of a layoff in between duals, Millersville will have some time to prepare before they head over to West Chester to take on the Golden Rams at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 22.
