Hauf breaks pole vault meet record for third straight year at Shippensburg Invite

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Marauders traveled west yesterday to compete in the Shippensburg Midweek Invite, where multiple Marauders hit PSAC marks and Darian Hauf broke a record for the third straight year.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

Darian Hauf continued her outstanding outdoor season as she bested her own mark to set the meet record in pole vault for the third straight year at the Shippensburg Midweek Invite. Hauf cleared a height of 12-6 to set the record, while teammate Megan Malecki finished third with a jump of 11-3 3/4.
In the throws, Seya Trujillo and Maddy Downs had notable outings, advancing to the finals in all three events they competed in. In the shotput, Downs finished third with a throw of 38-11 3/4, and Trujillo was ninth with 36-1 1/4.
Trujillo was the runner-up in the discus throw, with a throw of 135-5 that hit the PSAC mark. Sarah Hessler finished right behind her with 134-3, and Downs was fourth with 133-10.
The Marauders occupied four of the top five spots in the hammer throw, starting with Trujillo in second place with 163-9, Downs in third with 161-0, Hessler following her with 151-6, and Chloe Enck rounding out the group with 150-11.
On the track, Katelyn Murphy finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.97. The time betters her PSAC mark and is the eighth-best time in program history.
Hauf finished the 100-meter dash in 12.39 seconds, good for sixth place and hitting the PSAC mark.
In the 800-meter run, Morgan Janiuk finished third with a time of 2:22.86.
Emma Elwell grabbed fourth place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.96.

The Marauders have two meets remaining before the PSAC Outdoor Championships, with their next one scheduled for this upcoming Friday and Saturday in Baltimore, Md. at the Hopkins Loyola Invitational.
