Marauders wrap up busy week at Bucknell Bison Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Marauders competed in two separate meets this weekend, finishing up at the Bucknell Bison Invitational. Over 100 schools competed in the meet, with all three division levels represented.

SATURDAY HIGHLIGHTS

Lindsay Solderitch finished the 800-meter run in 2:22.91, putting her a little over half a second in first place.
Maddy Downs and Sarah Hessler both made it to the finals in the discus throw, while also picking up new record book entries. Downs improved on her personal record of 143-2 for the sixth best throw in program history, and Hessler moved from ninth to seventh place with a throw of 142-4. Hessler also hit the PSAC qualifying mark while Downs improved on her mark.
In the shotput, Hessler hit the PSAC mark with a throw of 41-6 1/2.
Chanel Hercules finished 10th in the long jump with the eighth best jump in program history, 17-9 3/4, which also bettered her PSAC mark.
Morgan Janiuk ran the 1,500-meter run in 4:47.06, improving on her PSAC mark.

SUNDAY HIGHLIGHTS

After breaking multiple records last week, Darian Hauf finished second in the pole vault with a jump of 12-7 1/2. Megan Malecki also hit the PSAC mark in the event with a jump of 11-7 3/4.
Seya Trujillo advanced to the finals in the hammer throw and took fifth place with a distance of 160-1, qualifying for PSACs in the process.
The relay team of Hauf, Arianna Kouakou, Aurora Conrad, and Emma Elwell ran the 4x100-meter relay in 47.97, tied for the third fastest time in the conference.
Aubrey Sydnor finished the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.89, imrproving her PSAC mark. Shelby Derkosh also improved her qualifying time on the season with a finish in 59.10.
Hercules also ran the 100-meter dash, hitting the PSAC mark with a time of 12.47.
Cora Heilman hit the PSAC mark in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:06.61.
