
Six Marauders recognized as All-PSAC

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The All-PSAC wrestling teams were released Thursday with six Marauders recognized for a standout 2023-24 season. Devin Flannery claimed first-team recognition at 133 pounds. Craig Cook earned second-team honors at 149 pounds. Millersville placed four on the third team as Brandon Connor (165), Jonathan Parrilla (174), Anthony Giampietro (184), and Riley O'Boyle (197) were recognized.
After a remarkable season, Flannery added All-PSAC First Team to his resume for the first time in his career as he was previously recognized on the second team in 2022 and 2023. Flannery finished as an All-American placing third on the podium at the NCAA Championships. He was also the Super Region 1 champion in the 133-pound weight bracket. Flannery finished with the best overall record on the team at 29-4. With 19 bonus point wins, he led the team in falls with eight, in technical falls with nine, and had two major decisions. Flannery now holds the career technical fall record of 23, topping Colton Dull, who previously had 17.
Cook, overcame adversity during the season after an early hip injury. In the 2022-23 season, his first with Millersville, Cook earned second-team honors. He placed second at the Super Region 1 Championships while qualifying for the NCAA Championships. He reached a milestone in his career as he logged his 100th career win. He is tied with Jim Shoupf '95 for fourth in career wins. He capped off his season with a 22-11 record, along with six falls, five technical falls, and tying for first in major decisions with six.
Connor finished his career at Millersville with third-team recognition. He had previously received honors on the second team in the 2022-23 season and third team in the 2021-22 season. Connor secured a third-place finish at the Super Region 1 Championships, qualifying for the NCAA Championships for a third time. He concluded with a record of 23-12, including three falls. Additionally, he recorded the second-highest number of technical falls on the with six, along with three major decisions.
Parrilla earned his first-ever Alll-PSAC recognition on the third team. After a season marked by trials and tribulations, alternating between the 165 and 174 pound weight classes, Parrilla had his best season as a Marauder. He secured a third-place finish at the Super Region 1 Championships in the 174-pound weight class, earning him a spot in the NCAA Championships. Finishing with a 15-13 record, he tallied one fall and four major decisions.
Giampietro was awarded a spot on the third team. In his 2021-22 season, he was named to the second team.Giampietro finished in third place at the super regional to earn another trip as an NCAA Championships qualifier. He finished the season with a 19-12 record, tallying four falls, four technical falls, and six major decisions, tying with Cook for the most this season.
O'Boyle had a stellar start on the mat but had his time cut short due to a season-ending injury. In his first season as a Marauder, O'Boyle produced a 13-12 season record, accompanied by one fall, one technical fall, and three major decisions.
Millersville set a program record with five Marauders making it to the NCAA Division II Championships. Millersville concluded the 2023-24 season 12-9 overall record and 3-4 record in the PSAC.
