
Marauders' supporters make a difference with One Day GIve

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Millersville Athletics' friends, alumni and supporters again rose to the occasion during the University's 11th annual One Day Give, generating more than $568,500 for the department's 19 programs.
The support represented a more than $200,000 increase from the previous year and accounted for 70% of the entire University's total raised on the day. Athletics gifts also represented nearly 60% of all gifts to the University.
The top fundraising women's program was women's golf with $61,109.60, an incredible 498% increase from the previous year. The top men's program in dollars raised was men's basketball with $87,494.60 (a 304% increase), narrowly edge men's golf with $80,398.00 (a 506% increase). Women's basketball with $20,375, men's soccer ($31,820) and field hockey ($22,952.10) all boosted their total dollars raised by more than 200%.
By raising the most dollars, women's golf and men's basketball receive an additional $500 as part of the day's challenges. Also receiving an extra $500 was field hockey and baseball for most gifts received, field hockey and men's tennis for total gift increase and women's and men's golf for dollars increased.
Twelve of the department's 19 programs raised more dollars in 2023-24 than it did in 2022-23, and nine saw a jump in gifts given.
Programs use the One Day Give donations for scholarships and program improvements, such as gear, travel and player development.
