FAIRFAX, Va. - Millersville wrestling traveled to compete in the Mason Duals against Williams, George Mason, and Bloomsburg. The Marauders finished 2-1 prevailing over Williams College and Bloomsburg. 

Millersville had a statement 29-12 win over its first opponent, Williams College. Bryce Beatty and Taylor Robinson put the Marauders up 6-0 with two gritty decision wins. Nick Cottone and Richie DeFulvio points added eight more, who had major decision wins to push the lead to 14-0. The Purple Cows won a stretch of three matches but the Marauders back end secured three wins. A decision win from Cole Dubois, Riley O'Boyle logging his first pin of the season in 5:00, and Bishop McCoy prevailing through a forfeit.

Millersville gave its best effort as the Marauders fell 54-0 to Division I George Mason. Dom Flatt, Cael Rossi, Marcus Gable, Tim Uhler, and Chase Bish all earned points during their respective matches, but it was not enough to secure a victory.

Closing out the duals, Millersville triumphed 30-12 over Bloomsburg. Beatty, at 125, won by decision 5-3 over Major Lewis. Beatty had a takedown in the first period followed by two later escapes to come away with the win. Millersville went up 15-0 followed by two Bloomsburg forfeits. The Marauders won four of the back-half matches starting with Nick Bennet at 165, who won by decision 7-0, followed by Dubois and O'Boyle both nearly clenching decision wins. 

The Marauders improved to an overall 3-1 record and bring play back home as they host the "Shorty" Hitchcock Open at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16.

• Overall thoughts on the day: "I thought we wrestled well. We wrestled three tough teams today. Our plan was to wrestle our starters two matches and get some other guys in the lineup as well."
• Having multiple Marauders go 2-0: "Anytime you go unblemished for the day, it's a good thing. More importantly, they looked good doing it. Some of them took a lot grit and those are always good to get "
• Key takeaways: " We got 18 guys in the lineup today so that's good. Against George Mason, they were clearly better. They just did things we are working on better and it showed. We will get there. We just have to keep working "
• What to expect going into the "Shorty" Hitchcock Open: "We have a week to recover now and prepare for the Shorty. Some guys may take advantage of some extra time off. I don't know yet. There will be tough competition there so we are looking forward to getting after it again"
