Marauders are set for home opener against Warriors

ABOUT THE MEET

  • After opening the season with two meets on the road, the Marauders return to Anttonen Natatorium for their 2024-25 season home opener. Millersville will welcome the Warriors of East Stroudsburg for a dual meet beginning at 1 p.m.

 

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS 

  • Millersville opened their season on Oct.11 at the PSAC Fall Invitational/ PSAC Sprint Frenzy. Jewels Hepner, Jordan Plempel, and Leah Eckert combined for four PSAC qualifying times. These Marauders thought of no better way to open the season than clinching themselves a spot in the postseason. 
  • Claire Weaver and Mackenzie Yosko had a successful meet as well, each finishing in the top five for their respective events.
  • Marauder senior, Jordan Plempel was named PSAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week after posting two first-place finishes and three PSAC cut times.

 

SCOUTING THE WARRIORS

  • The Warriors are 3-1 after opening their season against Cedar Crest on Oct. 5. The Warriors topped the Falcons 152-78. Six Warriors secured their place in the post season, along with taking top place finishes in all 14 events. 
  • East Stroudsburg then went on to finish 6th at the PSAC Fall Invitational and third in the PSAC Fall Sprint Frenzy.

 

SERIES HISTORY 

  • The series record between these opponents 32-11 in favor of EsU with the most recent victory going to Millersville on Oct.12 2022 (175-78).
