MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Millersville Marauders hosted the Bowie State Bulldogs in the team's final non-PSAC match of the season Tuesday night in Pucillo Gymnasium. The Marauders kept their all-time win streak against the Bulldogs alive with a 3-1 victory.

Marauders head coach
Brian Smith went with a different starting lineup in their final non-conference game of the season, as only
Madison Von Neida and
Kylee Schurig were previously in the rotation. Bowie State took an early 3-2 lead in the first set, but the Marauders battled back by scoring five straight points. It was a back and forth game from then on out, but the hosts found themselves trailing by multiple points through the middlegame. Two consecutive
Sam White kills cut what was a five-point deficit to three at 17-14, and they tied it up a couple points later at 18-18. The Bulldogs would go on to win the set 25-22.

Smith brought in the regulars for the rest of the match at the beginning of the second set, and it was a rout from then on out. Millersville went on an 8-0 run to begin the set, finished off by consecutive service aces from
Emma Kerwin. That just about decided the set and Millersville won 25-11. The final two sets were much of the same, with the Marauders drubbing the Bulldogs by scores of 25-12 and 25-9 en route to the 3-1 victory.
POSTGAME REACTION FROM BRIAN SMITH:
	- His takeaways heading into a big conference weekend: "I kind of got out of this game kind of what I wanted to. We had talked about before, we knew that if we didn't win the first game, we were going to go back to it because we needed to have a good game. I was really pleased with the way that some of the starters who didn't play got in there and started playing really well right away."

GAME NOTES
	- Millersville keeps its perfect all-time record against Bowie State with the victory, improving to 7-0. The loss in the match's initial set was the first set the Bulldogs have ever won against the Marauders.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
	- Emma Ludwig missed her first set of the season in set one, her first missed set since Nov. 1 of last season against Jefferson. She's played in 408 of a possible 412 sets in her career and has been on the court for every conference set that Millersville volleyball has played since the beginning of 2021.

	- The Marauders totaled 16 service aces, their second most in a match this season. Schurig led the team with six aces, which is the second most in a match for the rookie this year as well. Both high-water marks occurred in the team's first match of the season against Wilmington on Sept. 6; Millersville had 22 aces with Schurig contributing eight to that total.
