Marauders set for home opener against Mansfield

ABOUT THE MATCH

  • Millersville, 0-1-1, plays its home opener on Saturday against visiting Mansfield, which is 2-0 on the season. Millersville went 2-4-2 at home last season.

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS

  • Millersville opened its conference play on Wednesday against Kutztown. The Golden Bears edged the Marauders, 2-1.

  • Isabel Coy and Palina Jordan returning for the Marauders as they both capped off three goals last season. The two combined for six goals  one assists, and one game winner.
  • All-PSAC East Second Team player Kylie Sullivan returns for the Marauder as a fifth year.  Bella Fiorenza, Bailey Hunt, and Taylor Whitmer are also veterans for the Marauders. 
     

SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS 

  • Mansfield concluded its 2022 season with an overall record of 2-14-2.
  • Last season the Mountaineers scored a total of 15 goals, averaging .83 goals per game. Their leading goal scorer was sophomore, Katelyn Rueppel, with five goals and two assists.
  • The team opened their season on Sept. 3 against Lincoln University and breezed through the game with a 4-0 win.
