LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The PSAC track and field coaches announced the top of award winners for the 2023 outdoor season on Thursday, and Millersville's
Hannah Woelfling was selected as the PSAC Field Athlete of the Year.
Woelfling's hall of fame caliber resume already includes the two PSAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Meet awards, the 2023 Outdor Athlete of the Meet award, the 2022 Outdoor Championships MVP and the 2021 rookie of the year honor, but this is her first athlete of the year win. She is the second Marauder to win the end-of-the-year honor, joining
Sunflower Greene, who won it three times.
Woelfling closed her Millersville career with an NCAA Championship in the discus and a national runner-up finish in the hammer throw. She won both events at the PSAC Outdoor Championships and also finished second in the shot put. Woelfling graduates with the all-time and championship PSAC records in the discus and hammer throw.
CalU's Divonne Franklin was named the track and field athlete of the year, Bloomsburg's Kelly Leszcynski was named the freshman of the year, and coaching staff of the year went to Slippery Rock.
