Wilson, Hechler, and Hillegas sweep top three spots in Heptathlon during Messiah Invite

DILLSBURG, Pa. - The Millersville University track and field team delivered a strong showing at the three-day Messiah Invitational this past Thursday through Saturday, collecting multiple top finishes and PSAC qualifying marks. Highlighting the weekend, the Marauders dominated the heptathlon by sweeping all three podium spots, while additional athletes secured impressive individual top finishes across the meet.

Notable Results

In the 100-meter hurdles prelims, Katelyn Murphy and Victoria Massoom both qualified for the finals with Murphy finishing in first with a 14.74. In the finals, Murphy finished in second with a 14.84 while Massoom finished in seventh.
Miranda Jimenez hit a PSAC qualifying mark in the 400-meter hurdles for a second place finish while Mary Weiss finished just behind her in third.
Seya Trujillo once again claims a top spot in the hammer throw with a 169-05 for first place.
Danika Bolinsky finished third in the triple jump with a 35-08 3/4.
The Marauders swept the top three spots in the heptathlon. Ava Wilson finished first with a total of 4086 points with Megan Hechler behind her in second place with 3926 points and Marissa Hillegas in third with 3750 points.
