Millersville picks up three wins at Shippensburg Mid-Week Invitational

SHIPPENSBURG, PA. – The Millersville women's outdoor track and field team put together some strong individual performances at the Shippensburg University Mid-Week Invitational as the Marauders won three events and saw a pair of freshmen reach PSAC qualifying distances in the throws.

Hannah Woelfling picked up wins in the discus and hammer toss while Darian Hauf earned another win in the pole vault. There was no team scoring for the meet.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

Woelfling and Maddy Downs placed first and second in the discus with distances of 153-5 and 131-7. Seya Trujillo placed fourth with at 131-3 and Sarah Hessler placed sixth at 122-3 as both freshmen recorded PSAC qualifying distances and set new PRs.
The Marauders took four of the top five spots in the hammer toss, with Woelfling (193-9) placing first, Cassie Sharrow (157-11) placing third, Trujillo (153-6) placing fourth, and Maddy Downs (149-8) placing fifth. Trujillo recorded her first PSAC mark of the season as she and Downs both threw for season best distances.
Hauf won the pole vault with a height of 12-5 ½ which she reached on her third and final attempt. Megan Malecki placed fifth at 10-11 3/4.
Emily Skidmore placed third in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:09.76.
Lyndsey Kregel placed fourth in the high jump with a season best height of 1.50 meters.
