Woelfling breaks PSAC record; Millersville dominates 40th annual Metrics

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – In its first appearance at Biemesderfer Stadium since claiming the PSAC Title last May, the Millersville outdoor track & field team dominated the 40th annual Millersville Metrics. The Marauders soared to a win with 238 points, the most in program history at the event. Bloomsburg finished in second with a score of 127.
Hannah Woelfling kicked off her senior season by setting a PSAC and program record in the hammer throw while the Marauders totaled 10 first-place finishes.
Woelfling passed Sunflower Greene in the conference record books with a mark of 200-05, which is currently the second-best distance in NCAA Division II this spring.
"Lots of good developments, wins, PSAC qualifiers and PRs," said head coach Andy Young. "Our team is starting to find who we are and who we hope to become. Excited to see where we go in the next 6 weeks."

Meet Highlights
- Darian Hauf placed first in the pole vault with a PSAC qualifying height of 11-11 ¾.
- Woelfling (161-01) took first in the discus with a PSAC and NCAA qualifying mark. Maddy Downs (133-07) took second with a PSAC mark.
- Morgan Janiuk (39:20.88) and Kait Leister (39:52.30) took first and third in the 10,000-meter. Both times are PSAC qualifying marks.
- Janiuk also took first in the 1,500-meter with a PSAC qualifying time of 4:46.75. Abbey Sullivan also hit the qualifying standard as she placed eighth at 4:53.66.
- Hannah Sweda took first in the 5,000-meter with a time of 18:59.77.
- De'Asia Holloman placed first in the 100-hurdles with a PSAC qualifying time of 14.51.
- Cassie Sharrow placed third in the hammer (160-09) with a PSAC distance.
- Sullivan recorded a PSAC time in the 800-meter as she placed fifth at 2:22.98.
- In the shot put, Woelfling (42-04) and Sarah Hessler (40-11) both hit PSAC distances.
- Sharrow placed sixth in the javelin with a PSAC mark of 126-03.
- Emma Elwell took third in the 100-meter dash with a PSAC qualifying time of 12.36 seconds.
- The 4x100 relay "A" team of Elwell, Arianna Kouakou, Heather Lesinski, and Aurora Conrad took first place with a time of 48.24.
- In the 200-meter dash, Millersville placed first through fourth with four PSAC qualifying times; Conrad (25.52) took first, Sydnor (25.70) took second, Elwell (25.87) placed third, and Kouakou (26.05) took fourth.
- The Marauders dominated the 400-meter as three runners recorded PSAC qualifying times. Aubrey Sydnor (57.55) took first, Shelby Derkosh (58.48) placed second, and Mia Carson (1:00.21) took fourth.
- The 4x400 "A" relay team placed second as Mary Weiss, Julia Fallows, Shelby Derkosh, and Carson combined for a time of 4:06.52.
