Box Score MANSFIELD, Pa - The Millersville women's soccer team settled for a hard-fought 0-0 tie Mansfield Saturday.
With rainy weather altering conditions on the field, the game was evenly matched. The Marauders had 13 shots, with six on target, while the Mountaineers generated 10 shots, five of them being on net. Leading Millersville's offense was forward Taylor Whitmer, who managed two shots, placing both on net. Millersville also had multiple opportunities to capitalize on corners, creating seven chances compared to Mansfield's two. On the defensive end, both keepers were busy. Bella Fiorenza, guarding the Marauders' net, made five key saves, while Samantha Merklin, defending for the Mountaineers, had six impressive saves.
The Marauders' current record stands at 4-3-3 on the season. They look to travel back home after a stretch of away games and host Kutztown on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 4 p.m.
