MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Sophomore midfielder
Lia Francis earned her first selection to the Conference Commissioners Association All-Atlantic Region Team, landing a spot on the Second Team.
Francis is coming off an All-PSAC East First Team honor, one of three Marauders to receive the recognition. This season marks her second All-PSAC East selection and her first appearance on the All-Atlantic Region Team.
The English midfielder started all 19 games as a sophomore, recording six goals and three assists for a total of 15 points. She played a significant role in leading Millersville back to the PSAC Tournament and was instrumental in the team's advancement to the PSAC semifinals.
The women's soccer team concluded the season with a 9–7–3 overall record and a 6–5–3 mark in PSAC East play. Millersville defeated Bloomsburg in the first round of the PSAC Tournament before earning a decisive 4–0 victory over top-seeded Slippery Rock in the West. The Marauders' postseason run ended in the semifinals with a 1–0 loss to Kutztown.
