MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Aubrey Strohecker,
Caroline Wood, and
Sabrina Zimmerman have been named Academic All-District® by the College Sports Communicators for their achievements on the field and in the classroom.
Academic All-District® honorees must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and either start 66% or play in 90% of their team's games. Strohecker, a junior, earned the honor in his first year of eligibility and will advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
Strohecker holds a 3.69 GPA as a marketing major. She was named All-PSAC East First Team after leading the Marauders with 13 goals and seven assists.
Wood, a special education major, owns a 3.60 GPA. She started 16 of the team's 19 games and totaled one goal and three assists.
Zimmerman, a senior occupational safety and environmental health major, has a 3.69 GPA. Zimmerman started 13 games in goal for the Marauders and has been a two-year starter. Zimmerman led Millersville with four shutouts and an .827 save percentage.
The trio helped Millersville to a 9-7-3 record and a trip to the PSAC Tournament Semifinals.
