Millersville swimming produces strong team performance on Saturday in Carlisle

John A. Pidgeon Results PSAC Last Chance Results

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Marauders faced off against two of the strongest opponents in the PSAC on Saturday afternoon at the John A. Pidgeion Invitational and the PSAC Last Chance Invitational. Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Bloomsburg University are two of the top teams in the conference, both boasting 6-2 on the season.

Millersville took first place at the John A. Pidgeon Invitational, totaling 369.5 points and placing top five in a majority of the events.

Highlights from John A. Pidgeon Invitational

First place finish from Claire Weaver, Ilana Jacobson, Kristen Maile, and Jewels Hepner in the 400-yard Medley Relay (4.11.91).
Second place finish from Mackenzie Yosko, Ava Adiletti, Rebecca Yeager, and Lindsay Robbins in the 400-yard medley relay (4.22.52).
Jordan Plempel took first in the 200-yard IM (2.14.79) and second in the 50-yard freestyle (25.18).
Both Claire Weaver (1:01.43) and Jewels Hepner (1:03.04) finished in teh top ten in the 100-yard backstroke.
Alana Rowe took sixth place in the 500-yard freestyle (6:03.00).
Kristen Maile finished second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:14.92).
Ava Adiletti finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.03) and Ilana Jacobson finished not far behind in third (1:11.75).
Leah Eckert finished fifth in the 50-yard freestyle (26.12).
The relay team of Claire Weaver, Kristen Maile, Jordan Plempel, and Jewels Hepner took first in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:41.89).

On Saturday, the Marauders also competed in the PSAC Last Chance Invitational. The team totaled 378 points, outscoring their opponents by over 50 points.

Highlights from the PSAC Last Chance Invitational

Claire Weaver, Jordan Plempel, Leah Miksa, and Jewels Hepner took first in teh 200-yard freestyle relay (1:43.17).
Avery Huysentruyt, Jane McClelland, Kristen Maile, and Lindsay Robbins took second in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:46.65).
Ella Hubric, Rebecca Yeager, Mackenzie Yosko, and Alaina Rowe took third in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:52.51).
Kate Pelagatti had a third place finish in the 400-yard IM (5:06.41).
Claire Weaver took first in the 200 yard freestyle (1:59.07).
Ilana Jacobson placed fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:36.56).
The relay team of Kristen Maile, Jordan Plempel, Claire Weaver, and Leah Eckert took first in teh 200-yard medley (1:58.31).
Lindsay Robbins, Ava Adiletti, Rebecca Yeager, and Leah Miksa took second in the 200-yard medley relay (2:01. 31).
Not far behind, the team of Mackenzie Yosko, Ella Hubric, Jewels Hepner, and Jane McClelland took third (2:03.18).

The Marauders will return to the pool on Wednesday, February 15 to compete in the PSAC Championships.
