PSAC coaches release cross country preseason polls

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The cross country coaches of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) have released their annual preseason polls, and the Millersville women were ranked No. 11 in the 18-team conference.
The Marauders placed 11th at the 2021 PSAC Championships, which was the team's highest finish since 2011. Millersville returns 11 of the 13 runners who competed at the event, including top finisher Kaycee McCullough, who took 40th overall. Abbey Sullivan is coming off a spring season in which she posted a fifth-place finish at the PSAC Championships in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Morgan Janiuk also placed in the top eight in both the 800-meter run and the 1,500-meter run at the outdoor championships.
Edinboro was the overwhelming favorite, earning 17 first-place votes. Seton Hill picked up the other vote and landed at No. 2 in the poll. Edinboro has won the last three PSAC titles.
Millersville's season is set to start on Saturday, Sept. 3 with the annual Alumni Meet at Franklin & Marshall. The Marauders' first meet against Division II competition is Sept. 24 at Lock Haven.
