MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Battling inclement weather from start to finish, the Millersville University track and field team put together a strong showing at day two of the PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship Meet. 'Ville won two finals while another nine Marauders advanced in prelim events.

The Marauders sit in first place with 48 points following the first two days of the three-day meet. Slippery Rock is a close second with 46 team points while Kutztown and West Chester are tied for third with 27 points each.

DAY TWO HIGHLIGHTS
FINALS
- Hannah Woelfling continued her dominant performance with a record setting throw in the discus, recording a distance of 169-4 in her sixth and final attempt. Woelflings mark is good for a new PSAC record, besting the previous record of 166-11 set by Jayne Beatty of Slippery Rock in 1985. Her win earned 10 points for the Marauders. She also set a championship record in the hammer toss on Thursday.
- Aliyah Striver took fourth in the discus with a mark 148-5 on her fifth throw, earning five points for 'Ville. Maddy Downs took eighth (139-7) collecting one point as she recorded a season best distance.
- Darian Hauf won the pole vault in convincing fashion as she hit 12-5 ½ on her first attempt. The freshman has now won both the indoor and outdoor championships in her rookie campaign.
- Abbey Sullivan took fifth place in the 3,000-steeple with a new season best time of 11:36.81 earning four points. Â

PRELIMS (Seeding for Finals on Saturday)
- The 4x100 relay team of Hauf, Gabby Karch, Arianna Kouakou, and Emma Elwell took fourth place (48.05).
- De'Asia Holloman took second in the 100-hurdle (14.85) with a new season best time.
- Aubrey Sydnor took second in the 400-meter (57.35) and Lyric Williams took sixth (58.29) which was a new seasonal best.
- Elwell (12.378) and Aurora Conrad (12.380) took seventh and eighth in the 100-meter dash. That same due placed sixth and seventh respectively in the 200-meter with Elwell (25.48) and Conrad (25.55) both recording new season best times.
- Morgan Janiuk took seventh in the 800-meter (2:17.36) which was a new season best.Â

On Woelfling: "Hannah with the all-time PSAC record is an incredible result. She is on a different level."
On Hauf: "Darian did a great job of showing tremendous poise in difficult situations today. It's unfortunate that weather scuttled her NCAA hopes but a freshman winning the PV in this conference is a big deal."
On the team sitting in first: "We have been consistent in working on competing, believing in ourselves, and controlling what we can. We will do the same thing for one more day."
