MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Millersville women's lacrosse team fell to No. 4 East Stroudsburg Saturday afternoon. The unbeaten Warriors jumped out to a 5-0 lead in first-quarter action that proved to be the difference maker down the stretch, as they defeated 'Ville 15-9.
Kristi Kada led the Marauders with three goals, while
Gillian Zimmerman followed with two in the loss.
Amanda Juliano added to her season assist total with a team-high two on the afternoon.
The Marauders fall to 8-4 overall and 4-3 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East play, while ESU improves to 11-0 and 7-0 in PSAC East play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 • First-quarter play was all East Stroudsburg, as the nation's No. 4 ranked team scored five unanswered goals to enter the second with a comfortable lead.
• The Warriors began second-quarter action with two more goals to stretch their lead to seven just two minutes in and would match any attempt the Marauders made towards a first half comeback, netting five goals to 'Ville's four in the second to bring the score to 10-4 through 30 minutes played.
• The final half of action was even between two of the PSAC's top teams, as each group managed to score five goals, three in the third and two in the fourth. The first-quarter lead ESU built proved to be the difference maker in Saturday's contest.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Zimmerman fired a team-high eight shots, five on goal. Kada followed with four shots, all landing on frame.

Morgan Scott led the team in ground balls with ten to go along with 12 saves in the loss; she moves to 8-4 on the year in goal.
• Millersville was 18-20 on clears, while ESU was 18-19.Â
• The Warriors held the edge in total shots, 32-22.
• Millersville committed 19 turnovers, while East Stroudsburg committed 15.Â
• The Marauders recorded four more ground balls than the Warriors, 20-16.
