Women's lacrosse ranked sixth in first NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Poll

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Millersville women's lacrosse made an appearance at No. 6 in the first NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Poll of the 2022 season, the NCAA announced on Wednesday, April 20.
The Marauders (10-5, 6-4 PSAC) recently took down Bloomsburg which allowed the team to control its own destiny down the stretch, as two wins or a win plus a Bloomsburg loss earns the team a PSAC tournament berth.
Every win from here on out counts towards the Marauders' NCAA Tournament hopes, as only four teams from each region (Atlantic, East, Midwest, and South) earn automatic tournament bids. Millersville will face two more in-region teams to close out its 2022 regular season schedule, Shepherd and Shippensburg.
East Stroudsburg topped the poll, followed by West Chester, both teams currently hold region-best 11-1 records. Three PSAC West programs followed, Seton Hill, Indiana (Pa.), and Mercyhurst.
The Marauders will head to Shepherdstown, W.V. on Wednesday, April 27 for a matchup with the Shepherd Rams.
