MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Kristi Kada, Amanda Juliano, and Gillian Zimmerman led Millersville women's lacrosse to a 17-goal opening-day victory over the visiting Holy Family Tigers, 22-5. This was the Marauders' first 20-goal performance since March of 2020, the program's largest win since March of 2018, and the least amount of allowed goals since March of 2019.

Millersville improves to 1-0 on the season, while Holy Family drops to 0-3. Kada let the team in points with seven, while Juliano had six, and Zimmerman followed with five.

•Zimmerman opened the scoring, converting a free position attempt less than 30 second into the game to put 'Ville up one. Charlotte Lasak followed with a goal three minutes later off a pass from Kada.
• Zimmerman opened the scoring, converting a free position attempt less than 30 second into the game to put 'Ville up one. Charlotte Lasak followed with a goal three minutes later off a pass from Kada.
• Millersville would follow Lasak's score with five more goals without a Tiger score, including another from each Lasak and Zimmerman, one from Juliano, one from Alexa Efron, and a goal from the Marauders' scoring leader in 2021, Grace Coubaugh.
• Holy Family would get on the board after the Marauders seventh goal, cutting the deficit to six with three minutes remaining in the first quarter. The Marauders would go on to score two more goals to close out a huge first quarter, leaving them with a 9-1 advantage heading into the second.
 • Reigning PSAC West Athlete of the Year and First Team All-American, Kada, recorded her first goal in the gold and black early in the second quarter, Ashlyn Simonetti, who had a goal of her own, assisted on the play. Millersville would end the first half with a 15-2 advantage over the Tigers.
 • Second half action was closer, but not close enough for Holy Family to find a way back into the game. Millersville outscored the Tigers 7-3 in the half, leading to its 22-5 rout.
