The Marauders head into the new year with a win

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - With the 2022 portion of the schedule coming to a close, the Millersville women's swimming team thought of no better way to head into the new year than with a win over the Bryn Mawr Owls. 

The Millersville swim team outscored the Owls 160-96, taking first place in 11 of the 14 events. Among the first-place finishers were: NEW PERSONAL BEST TIMES
  • Jewels Hepner, 200 free (2:01.05) and 200 IM (2:15.25)
  • Rebecca Yeager, 1,000 free (11:33:13)
  • Jordan Plempel, 50 back (59.33) and 200 back (2:10.41)
  • Ilana Jacobson, 50 back (33.56),100 breaststroke (1:11.53), and 50 free (26.63)
  • Jane McClelland, 50 back (33.58), 100 breaststroke (1:11.08), and 200 back (2:34.97)
  • Kate Pelagatti 50 back (32.36) and 200 breaststroke (2:36.70)
  • Mackenzie Yosko 200 FLY (2:18.10) and 50 free (27.10)
SEASON BEST TIMES  POOL RECORDS
Freshman Jane McClelland set a new pool record in the 1,650-yard freestyle  (17:56.17). 
200-yard freestyle relay team, made up of Leah Miksa, Jane McClelland, Jordan Plempel, and Jewels Hepner, set a new pool record of 1:39.72. 

UP NEXT
The Marauders are back in Anttonen Natatorium on Jan. 13 to face off against Messiah.
