Millersville looks to continue win streak Saturday against Elizabethtown

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS

  • Millersville started off its season with two wins over Frostburg State on Oct. 8 and East Stroudsburg on Oct. 15.
  • The team has now won 10 matches in a row, continuing from their 8-0 season in 2021-22.
  • There have been nine Marauders swim PSAC Championship qualifying times during the last two meets. 
     

SCOUTING THE BLUE JAYS 

  • Elizabethtown is coming off a 7-6 record in the 2021-22 season, where they were 2-2 in conference and finished fifth at the Landmark Conference Championship.
  • The team is returning nine of their swimmers from last season, while also adding six newcomers to the roster.
  • The Blue Jays opened their season just last Saturday, where they hosted a tri-meet against Goucher and Immaculata. They outscored their opponents 192-64 and 206-52, putting them at a 2-0 record to start the season.
  • Elizabethtown will compete in the Schweikert Relays on Friday Oct. 28, in Selinsgrove, Pa., before traveling to Millersville on Saturday.

COACH USBECK'S THOUGHTS ON THE UPCOMING MEET AND HOW THE TEAM HAS BEEN PREPARING: 

  • “We have continued with our training plan attempting to improve where we need to improve. The meet against Elizabethtown will be fun for it’s an opportunity for some of our swimmers to try different events.”
