MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Millersville women's swim team had a successful team win over the East Stroudsburg Warriors Saturday afternoon in Anttonen Natatorium. The Marauders are now 2-0 on the season and have now won ten-straight duals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Claire Weaver swam a 11:06.29 in her 1,000-yard freestyle, which is not only a PSAC Championship qualifying time, but also the seventh best time swam in that event in Millersville University history. This is also a personal best for Weaver.
- Leah Eckert's 2:31.61 time in her 200-yard breaststroke places her number eight all time in that event and sets a new personal best.
- Leah Miksa had a personal best time of 1:04.22 in the 100-yard butterfly.
- Jewels Hepner also reached a new personal best in the 100 fly with a time of 1:04.49. This is also a PSAC Championship qualifying time.
- Jane McClelland swam two PSAC cut times in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.81) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:24.28). She also now ranks 10th all time, at Millersville, in the 500-yard freestyle.
- Kristen Maile went 2:20.44 in her 200-yard butterfly, which places her number seven in all time history at MU, and her time of 1:01.63, in the 100-yard butterfly places her at number ten all time in MU history.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Marauders outscored the Warriors 175-78.
- Millersville finished first in 11 of the 14 events.
- Four swimmers broke PSAC qualifying times and several swam their personal best.

- On today's races: "The team has raced hard for two weekends in a row. We continued to display many quality swims while learning more about how our individual seasons are progressing. I'm excited to spend the next two weeks on making adjustments."
- On McClelland, Weaver and Eckert's strong starts to the season: "All of them have been tremendous through their first two meets. Many PSAC cuts, all-time MU top 10 performances and race wins but they bring more to the team than just athletic ability. They are all great individuals with awesome personalities that are infectiously motivational through out our training cycles. I'm excited to see how they progress throughout their careers."
