Millersville set to host East Stroudsburg Saturday

ABOUT THE DUAL

  • The Marauders are set to host the East Stroudsburg Warrior on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. in Anttonen Natatorium.
  • This is the second competition of the season for the Marauders and the first for the Warriors. Millersville is coming off a strong victory over Frostburg State last Saturday. Millersville won with a score of 166-94. The team finished first in 9 of the 14 events, and had swimmers in the top two for 13 out of the 14 events.
  • Millersville recorded an 8-0 dual record in 2021-22 for the first undefeated season in program history. The Marauders have now won nine-straight duals, which is the longest in program history. The previous record was eight in a row, which spanned the 1990-91 and 1991-92 seasons. 
     

ABOUT THE MARAUDERS 

  • The Millersville roster includes 19 swimmers and eight of them are newcomers.
  • Freshman, Leah Eckert, broke the pool record in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.14) last week in the meet against Frostburg State. This was Eckert's first meet for the Marauders.
  • In their opening meet vs. Frostburg State, the Marauders had 5 swimmers, Jane McClelland, Clarie Weaver, Maddi Stoner, Jordan Plempel, and Leah Eckert achieve PSAC qualifying times in their specific events.

 

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT 

  • The East Stroudsburg roster hosts 15 with six newcomers.
  • The Warriors finished last season with an overall record of 4-3.
