ABOUT THE GAME

  • Millersville looks to continue its strong play in a rematch against Bloomsburg on the road this Saturday. The two teams faced off 13 days ago in Pucillo Gymnasium, in what was the Marauders' first game of the New Year after a number of postponements. 'Ville was down by seven points at the end of the third quarter before surrendering a 17-point fourth to the Huskies, while only putting up seven fourth-quarter points of their own. Since then, the Marauders have won two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) games and posted a season-high in points.
Playoffs are still the goal for us regardless of our record thus far. Right now, we're excited to get another shot at Bloomsburg and hopefully taking care of business on the road.
Head Coach Sharay Hall

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS

  • The Marauders are now 3-0 when scoring 60 or more points and are coming off their highest scoring night of the season in Wednesday's 76-66 thrilling overtime victory over Slippery Rock. Lauren Lister played a large role in the victory, as she posted a season-high 30 points while shooting 50% from the field and attempting a season-high 13 free-throws, draining eight. Lister had nine points against Bloomsburg earlier this season.
  • Makiah Shaw had her best offensive game of the season in the Marauders' overtime victory. She recorded 15 points, including a game-tying three-pointer to send the game into overtime. She will look to continue success at the offensive end against a Bloomsburg team that she scored eight on just under two weeks ago.
  • The Marauders' full-court press continues to cause problems for opposing offenses. They currently rank second in the PSAC in forced turnovers at 21.9 per game. 'Ville forced Slippery Rock to its season-high in turnovers on Wednesday night (33), while only committing 17 of their own, which is tied for their third lowest total this season.
  • The Marauders are currently ranked as the No. 9 defensive unit in the PSAC, allowing just over 60 points per game.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG

  • Bloomsburg comes into this matchup having dropped its previous game to Shippensburg on the road, 79-51. Before that, the Huskies were on a nine-game winning streak, which included their victory over the Marauders.
  • Bloomsburg ranks fourth in the PSAC in rebounding at 40.2 per game; they were able to pull down exactly 40 against the Marauders earlier this month, while Millersville grabbed just 29.
  • Emma Saxton and Meghan Corridoni lead the Huskies in scoring this season. Saxton averages 14.7 pointers per game, while Corridoni averages just under 13. They both has solid games in the team's previous victory over Millersville, as Corridoni scored 19 and Saxton reached 16. Both grabbed eight rebounds as well.
