ABOUT THE GAME

  • Women's soccer will host Lock Haven on Wednesday night for a chance to improve to 1-1 in a loaded Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East. The Marauders dropped their last match to a tough No. 5 Kutztown team, 1-0. 
  • Lock Haven currently sits at 2-0-1 overall, and 0-0-1 in PSAC East play. The Bald Eagles settled for a draw in their PSAC East opener last Saturday, ending the game locked up at one with Shippensburg. 
  • Millersville has reached the postseason in the last two seasons, including two trips to the NCAA tournament. The PSAC preseason poll, voted on by the league's coaches, placed Millersville at No. 4 in the East. Lock Haven came in at No. 7 in the East. 

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS

  • The Marauders are currently sitting at 0-1-1 early in the season and will be looking for their first win on Wednesday.
  • Millersville has scored two goals on the season, both coming in their first match against Jefferson. Paulina Jordan and Rechel Leisher each scored in that match.
  • The Marauder defense has been the bright spot so far this season. They held a No. 5 Kutztown team to one goal at home, and only gave up two goals to a Jefferson team who has won back-to-back conference titles in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). Goalkeeper, Reagan Kolinski, ranks top 10 in the PSAC in both saves (12), and saves per game (6.00).

SCOUTING THE BALD EAGLES

  • Lock Haven has gotten off to a good start offensively, scoring seven goals in a their first three games.
  • The Bald Eagles defeated Pitt-Johnstown 2-1, California (Pa.) 4-0, and ended their match with Shippensburg in a 1-1 tie.
  • Freshman, Hunter McClellan, currently leads the PSAC in points (8),  goals (4), and ranks second in shots on goal (10).

  • Millersville currently holds a 9-2-1 series lead against the Bald Eagles, and has won the last eight meetings between the two schools.
