MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Millersville women's lacrosse team tied the game up seven times during regulation, never letting Shippensburg take more than a two-point lead, and sent the game into overtime where the Raiders had the last word and scored the game-winning goal for the 12-11 victory.

Millersville and Shippensburg are both now 2-7 overall and 3-5 in PSAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Shippensburg got off to an early start scoring the first goal of the game 48 seconds into the game. Millersville was quick to tie it up with a goal from Amanda Juliano, but the Raiders continued to take no-more than a one-point lead with the Marauders continuing to tie the game. Back-to-back goals from Shippensburg gave the Raiders its largest lead of the half and put them up by two, 7-5, with just over four minutes remaining. A free position shot for Millersville gave Hayden Corcoran the chance the Marauders needed to bring the game back within reach, leaving Millersville to trail by only one, 7-6, going into the second half.
- The Raiders upped their lead back to two three times in the second half, but the Marauders wouldn't give in and continued to retaliate and keep it within a single point finally tying it up at 10-10 with just over eight minutes to go in the game. Shippensburg tried to run away with the lead once again, but Gillian Zimmerman was there to answer the call for Millersville tying it up at 11-11 and sending the game into overtime.
- After a scoreless three minutes in overtime, Shippensburg rattled off the sudden death goal to secure the 12-11 victory. Â

- Millersville held the advantage in shots (32-24), clears (15-14), and ground balls (19-13).
- Shippensburg and Millersville were even in free position shots (8-8), draw controls (13-13), and turnovers (13-13).
- Kaleigh Sasdelli spent all 66 minutes in the cage and made 11 saves.
- Genevieve Speights and Corcoran led the scoring effort for the Marauders with three goals apiece. Amanda Juliano and Grace Cobaugh each scored twice.
- Zimmerman, Cobaugh, and Liv Genovese led on the draw with the Marauders, each controlling three.
- Corcoran, Juliano, and Taiyana Goldsborough each scooped up a team-high three ground balls. Goldsborough and Corcoran also each caused a team-high two turnovers.
