Box Score WEST CHESTER, Pa. - The PSAC East title was on the line in Saturday's dual between Millersville and West Chester. West Chester won the battle by winning three singles matches that stretched to three sets.
Both teams entered the match unbeaten in divisional play. West Chester improved to 6-3 overall and 5-0 in the PSAC East while Millersville fell to 4-4 and 3-1 in the PSAC East.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Jasmine Morris and
Kelsey Heckert teamed for a 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles, but West Chester won by 6-3 scores at both No. 1 and No. 3 to get the doubles point.
• In singles action, West Chester won at the top three spots in the lineup and at No. 6, but the Marauders put up a fight. Tori Alexander needed three sets to get by Morris in the No. 1 spot, 6-2, 3-6, 6-1.
Noelle Htwar also pushed Leandra Roelker to three (6-2, 1-6, 6-3) at No. 3 singles. Shannon Nixon edged
Lauren Weaver at No. 6 singles by a 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 final. Millersville earned singles points from
Maria Ojeda (6-2, 7-5) and
Kelsey Heckert (6-4, 6-0).
NOTES
• Heckert improved to 4-0 playing in the No. 5 flight and 5-1 overall. She's won three-straight singles matches.
• Ojeda won her fourth-straight singles match, improving to 4-1 on the season.
