EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - A Millersville Marauder won each of the four throwing events, and several track athletes set personal best times at Saturday's All-American Invitational hosted by East Stroudsburg.
Aliyah Striver doubled-up on the first-place finishes, winning the shot put with a season-best mark of 45-3 3/4 and winning the discus with a toss of 148-7. Hannah Woelfling took second in the discus (140-2) and earned a win of her own, taking first in the hammer throw with a toss of 175-0. Striver placed second in the hammer (166-3), and Kandice Liebl posted a PR of 140-5 for a seventh-place finish.
Liebl placed third in the javelin (104-6) behind teammate Kaitlin Moyer, who launched a throw of 112-2.
On the track, freshman Morgan Janiuk ran a personal-best time of 4:54.84 in the 1,500-meter run, placing second.
Marauders finished third, fourth and fifth in the 100-meter dash with Aurora Conrad (12.47) and Emma Elwell (12.54) both running career-best times. Gabriela Karch placed fifth in 12.88.
Conrad also ran to a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.87. Elwell's PR of 26.22 and Amanda Bruno's PR of 26.64 also cracked the top eight.
Bruno (1:01.18), Lyric Williams (1:01.38) and Mia Carson (1:02.48) placed fourth, fifth and seventh respectively in the 400-meter dash.
REACTION FROM COACH ANDY YOUNG
"Our throwers were pretty dominant today, winning all four throws, led by Aliyah in the shot and discus. It was good to see Aliyah start to find her groove in the shot again. The 100 went pretty well with Aurora running a big PR followed by Emma and Gabby. Morgan had a big race in the 1,500 and is quickly becoming a threat to be a scorer in a few events, which is exciting. We have three weeks to PSAC's, and we are getting more ready every time we compete."

• Striver has finished in the top three in each of her 15 events this season, placing first six times.
• Woelfling has won the hammer throw in each of the last three meets and has finished no lower than second in the hammer or discus in any meet this season.
UP NEXT
• Millersville travels to Shippensburg on Saturday, April 24 for the Paul Kaiser Classic.
