Throwers lead small Millersville contingent at Shippensburg Mid-Week

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Millersville track and field team sent a small contingent of athletes to Shippensburg's Mid-Week Invitational, and the group was led by the throwers.
Hannah Woelfling and Aliyah Striver went one-two in the hammer throw. Woelfling hit 182-1 and Striver hit 170-10. The duo also finished second and third respectively in the discus. Woelfling threw 130-8 while Striver threw 130-4. Striver posted a season-best mark of 43-5 in the shot put and placed second.
Millersville's javelin throwers also performed well with four finishing in the top-eight. Kandice Liebl was the team's top finisher, taking second with a throw of 113-2. Cassie Sharrow finished fifth with a mark of 105-11. Kate Grohotolski and Catherine Skehan tied for seventh seventh at 94-10.
On the track, Haley Lathrop ran a personal-best time of 1:30.65 in the 400-meter hurdles. Jennifer Dohalick ran in the 400-meter dash, posting a time of 1:08.97.

Millersville travels to East Stroudsburg on Saturday, April 17 for the All-American Meet.
