Lacrosse looks to snap losing streak at home against Bloomsburg

ABOUT THE GAME 

  • After a two-game stretch on the road, Millersville returns home to Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium on Wednesday, March 31 at 4 p.m. to take on Bloomsburg. 
  • The Huskies lead the series with the Marauders 10-3 with the teams’ last meeting taking place on March 23, 2019 at Bloomsburg.
  • Millersville holds a single game win streak over Bloomsburg and has only claimed on victory on its home turf. 
  • Redshirt senior Sara Burney currently leads the Marauders’ offense with 17 points in five games off eight goals and nine assists. 
  • MaryCait Dorley and Taiyana Goldsborough anchor the defense forcing eight turnovers apiece this season. Goldsborough has also scooped up a team-high 21 ground balls. 
  • Genevieve Speights is hot on the draw recording a team-high 24 in five games. 
  • Kaleigh Sasdelli remains in the net for the Marauders totaling 36 saves this season. 

 

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT

  • The Huskies are currently 3-2 in both overall and conference play. 
  • Bloomsburg enters the game following a 10-8 loss at home against West Chester. The upset snapped a three-game win streak for the Huskies. 
  • Anna Dempsey leads the Huskies’ offense with 14 points from 13 goals and one assist in five games. She ranks second on the team in draw controls with 14. 
  • Tiffany Diachynsky leads the defensive effort for Bloomsburg with 13 caused turnovers and 16 ground balls. 
  • Angela DiPasquale has started in the net in all five games and has recorded 35 saves.
