Millersville falls to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the PSAC while East Stroudsburg improves to 3-0 and 2-0 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Amanda Juliano started off the scoring for Millersville just 40 seconds into play off an assist from Grace Cobaugh. The Warriors and Marauders traded goals through the next five minutes before five unanswered goals put East Stroudsburg up 7-3. Sara Burney found Juliano out front of the net for her second goal with just 52 seconds left in the first half, putting Marauders within three points, but the Warriors' Mary Fitzsimmons added another goal with 24 seconds left making the score 8-4.
  • Genevieve Speights and Juliano scored two goals within three minutes of one another at the start of the second half to put the Marauders within three points of the lead. East Stroudsburg fired off five more goals through the remainder of the second half while Millersville only found the back of the net once more.

  • MaryCait Dorley anchored the defensive effort with five caused turnovers while defensemen Taiyana Goldsborough and Michella Salvitti forced four each.

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH CINDY WILSON
  • "We did a good job of possessing the ball and looking for good scoring opportunities, but our movement slowed down a little bit in the second half."
  • "Amanda [Juliano] has really stepped up this year and is making a lot happen on the field. She is a smart attacker who reads the play very well and helps our entire offense to mesh well."
  • "Mac [MaryCait Dorley] is very consistent and reliable on the defensive end. I think she, along with our entire defense, stuck together and made some big stops by working together."
UP NEXT
  • Millersville hits the road this weekend to face West Chester in a conference matchup on Saturday, March 20 at 1 p.m.
