Marauders top Shippensburg on the road

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – A goal in the first 50 seconds of play gave Millersville a lead that they wouldn't relinquish the rest of the game, defeating Shippensburg 15-11.
 
The Marauders improve to 1-1 on the season and 1-0 in conference play, while the Raiders fall to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the PSAC.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Two unassisted goals from Hayden Corcoran paired with a set of goals from Gillian Zimmerman and Charlotte Lasak in the first eight minutes set the tone giving the Marauders a 4-1 lead. Shippensburg tried to close the gap with six goals of its own, but the Marauders refused to relinquish the lead adding five goals. An unassisted goal at the 00:00 minute mark from Grace Cobaugh gave Millersville a 10-6 lead going into the second half.
  • The Raiders tried to come back with four goals in the second half, coming within a single point of Millersville's lead. But, four consecutive goals from the Marauders proved too much to overcome for Shippensburg.
