Marauders will face off with Bloomsburg on Senior Day

ABOUT THE GAME

  • Millersville will look to finish the season with a win and even the season series against the current No. 3 team in the Pennsylvania State Athletics Conference (PSAC) East, Bloomsburg. The Huskies got the better of Millersville in their match just under a month ago, taking the Marauders down 2-0 in Bloomsburg. 
  • Since that loss, 'Ville has won five of their last six games en route to clinching the final playoff berth in the PSAC East.
  • Bloomsburgs' previous two matches came against the top two teams in the PSAC East, No. 3 Kutztown and No. 21 West Chester. The Huskies dropped a road match to Kutztown and ended a home game against West Chester in a scoreless tie. 

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS

  • Millersville is currently outscoring (25-20), outshooting (201-178, 107-87 on goal), and gaining more corner opportunities (92-50) than opponents this far into the season. 
  • Emma Elwell has came alive for this Marauder team as of late. The forward has either scored or assisted in the last three 'Ville goals, and has recorded two goals to go along with two assists in the last three games. The sophomore received PSAC Athlete of the Week honors for her performance last week. 
  • Morgan Winchock has kept up the strong play up top for the Marauders. She has scored three goals in the last three games. These include a two-goal performance in a 5-0 win over Mansfield, and a game-winning goal in the Marauders' previous win over East Stroudsburg which clinched the final playoff berth in the PSAC East. 
  • Lauren Downey currently leads the team in assists with six, five coming in the last nine games. The redshirt senior has been a vital part of the Marauders'  postseason push. 
  • Reagan Kolinski has recorded 67 total saves on the season, while allowing 20 goals. The Junior has recorded two shutouts in the last three contests. .

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES

  • The Huskies are 10-3-2 in PSAC East play, with two of those losses coming against No. 3 Kutztown, who has only suffered one loss all season. 
  • Bloomsburgs' Alexa Ryan has been amazing in goal for the Huskies this season. The keeper leads a defensive unit that has only given up eight goals, which leads the PSAC. She ranks first in goals against average (.455), and shutouts per game (.588) in the PSAC.  
  • The Huskie offense comes from many different places, as four players have scored more than four goals in the season. Natalie Holmes leads the way with five, Paige Harris, Helen Flynn, and Brooke Foster are just behind her with four each. 

THE LAST TIME OUT

  • Millersville: Millersville 1, East Stroudsburg 0 - Morgan Winchock scored late to lift the Marauders over East Stroudsburg and into the postseason for the third consecutive year. 
  • Bloomsburg:  Bloomsburg 0, West Chester 0 - The Huskies ended their previous match in a scorless draw with West Chester. The two are set to play eachother in the PSAC Quarterfinals.
