LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Millersville University junior
Ben Fellman has been announced as one of 10 recipients of the PSAC Spring Top 10 Award.
The PSAC Top 10 is chosen and voted on by the league's sports information directors. The award recognizes student-athletes who excel in both the classroom and in athletic competition. Started in the 1997-98 academic year, the Top 10 recognizes five males and five females in each athletic season: fall, winter and spring.
Fellman was among the five male athletes selected from the PSAC's spring sports: baseball, track and field, tennis and golf. Fellman is just the 20th Marauder ever to win the award. He is the first Marauder since the spring of 2016 recognized and the first male Marauder winner since tennis' Drew Slocum in 2011. He is just the third Marauder to win the award in the last decade.
Fellman, a meteorology major, owns a 4.0 cumulative GPA. He was off to an outstanding start to the season on the court, going 7-1 playing primarily in the No. 3 spot in the lineup. Fellman also posted a 4-2 record at No. 1 doubles including a 4-0 record in duals. This spring, Fellman has won the PSAC Champion Scholar Award and received CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 recognition.
