LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Millersville women's lacrosse team trailed from the start, but cut the deficit to half by the end of the first half. Lock Haven pulled even further ahead in the subsequent 30 minutes, defeating the Marauders 15-6.

Millersville falls to 2-1 overall while Lock Haven improves to an identical 2-1 record.

Charlotte Lasak led the Marauders with a team-high two goals on two shots.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Lock Haven went on a 3-0 run early in the first half to take a commanding lead. Millersville's
Sarah Leverentz stepped up to the net with an unassisted goal to put the Marauders on the scoreboard. Lock Haven went on another 3-0 run, but
Gillian Zimmerman slowed its pace with the Marauders' second goal. Two minutes later,
Emily Jacobsen scooped up a ground ball and took it to the net to cut the deficit in half at the end of the first, 6-3.
• The Bald Eagles returned to the field with force scoring four unanswered goals in the first five minutes of the second half. A yellow card on Lock Haven's Addy Borkowski set the Marauders up for the man-up goal from
Charlotte Lasak. The Bald Eagles scored three more before Lasak took to the net once again for the Marauders' fifth goal. Lock Haven scored two more goals in the half and Millersville added one.

Calie Swegon totaled a team-high three points off two assists and one goal.
• Leverentz, Zimmerman and Jacobsen each totaled all totaled one goal each. Leverentz had a team-high five shots.
• Jasah Lorah led the Marauders' defensive efforts picking up a team-high five ground balls and forcing three turnovers.
• Leverentz and Burney each totaled a team-high three draw controls.

Kelly Layton guarded the net for the entire 60 minutes recording a season-high 10 saves on 34 shots faced.
