THE MATCH-UP
• Millersville is the No. 4 seed from the PSAC Eastern Division in the PSAC Tournament for the second-consecutive year, giving the Marauders home playoff games in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2002-2003. Millersville has lost its last three playoff games, and its last two playoff appearances (2018 and 2019), ended in the first round. Millersville has won five PSAC Tournament titles with its last coming in 2006-07.
• The Marauders and Shepherd Rams meet for the first time in a postseason setting, but the teams have played three times in the last two seasons. Shepherd has won all three games, but all three have been decided by no more than 10 points. The two games this season have all come down to the last possession. In the first meeting at Pucillo Gymnasium, Millersville led by as many as 15 points and led for the entire first 38 minutes before Thomas Lang sank a 3-pointer off an inbounds play with 0.9 seconds remaining. At Shepherd on Feb. 19, Millersville trailed by as many as 19 in the second half but rallied and had a chance to tie the game on its final possession but missed a 3-pointer. Millersville played without starting center Caden Najdawi in both games. In the first meeting, Millersville scored 47 points in the first half but 25 in the second. In the second game, Millersville scored just 31 in the first half but 52 in the second.
• Millersville is 10-3 at home this season with its losses coming in double overtime to Cal U, a one-point buzzer-beater against Shepherd and to PSAC East champion Shippensburg. Millersville played just four home games in the month of February and has won four of their last five at home.
• Khari Williams needs just 25 points to become the 37th Marauder with 1,000 career points. Williams scored 564 points in his first two seasons at Clarion and has a team-high 411 points this season. He has scored 19 or more in four of the last five games and has scored 25 or more in three of those games. Williams' .856 free throw percentage ranks sixth in the PSAC. He has led the Marauders in scoring a team-high nine times.
• In the regular season finale against Lock Haven, Caden Najdawi tallied his seven double-double in 21 games (15 points and 13 rebounds). Najdawi has scored at least 14 points in five-straight games and has made at least 50 percent of his shots in each of the last seven games. Najdawi's .595 field goal percentage ranks second in the PSAC. He's also tied for second in rebounding (8.5), and tied for fourth in blocks (1.5).

SCOUTING THE RAMS
• Shepherd's first season in the PSAC resulted in a 10-12 league record and the No. 5 seed in the PSAC East. The Rams' Thomas Lang hit league-leading 107 3-pointers, setting the Shepherd single-season record. He made 18 more threes and attempted 17 more than any other player in the league while sinking a PSAC-best 44.8 percent. Shepherd closed the season by winning five of the last seven games. The Rams are 3-10 on the road, however. Shepherd has made at least eight 3-pointers in 23 of 28 games.

THE LAST MEETING (Feb. 19, 2020 - Shepherd 84, Millersville 83)
•  Millersville trailed by as many as 19 in the second half but furiously rallied in the final four minutes and had the ball with a chance to tie in the closing seconds. Khari Williams, who scored a career-high 28 points and had the hot-hand late, took the Marauders' last shot to extend the game. Williams' 3-pointer was well-defended and bounced off the rim. Shepherd built its lead in the key PSAC East match-up behind the long-range shooting of Thomas Lang scored a team-high 22 points on 6-of-9 shooting from three. He also sank a free throw with eight seconds left that gave Shepherd a three-point lead.
