MILLERSVILLE, Pa. -  Two PSAC powerhouses collide at Pucillo Field on Saturday, Sept. 28th at 3 p.m. as No. 15 Millersville hosts No. 6 West Chester. Both teams have not lost a game in 2019. The Marauders have not allowed a single goal to opponents, while the Golden Rams have only allowed one (in a 4-1 win over Shepherd University.) Millersville has outscored opponents 21-0 while West Chester has done so 19-1.

West Chester currently leads the PSAC Eastern Division standings but has played one more conference game compared to second-place Millersville. This is the first of two meetings in the regular season for the squads. The second will be at West Chester on Saturday, Oct. 26th.

The teams have had a single common opponent in 2019: Millersville defeated Lock Haven University 5-0 while West Chester claimed a 3-0 victory over the Bald Eagles.

ABOUT THE MARAUDERS
  • Millersville is off to its best start to a season in program history. The team's current six game winning streak does not yet equal the program record of seven wins in a row, set back in 2003.
  • Senior forward Kay Liebl has scored three goals this season, giving her 32 career goals. That ties her with Becky Morris for the most goals scored by a player in program history.
  • Freshman Michelle Belcher and Talia Grynkewicz are tied for the team lead in goals scored this season with four apiece.
  • Nine other Marauders have chipped in with at least one goal scored.
  • Millersville has outshot opponents 131 to 35. The team averages just under 22 shots per game and has earned 42 corner kicks to date, conceding just 14 corners to opponents.

  • Liebl then caught fire offensively, scoring in the 33rd, 50th and 72nd minutes. It was her first career hat trick and the first time in program history that the Marauders scored more than three goals against West Chester. The win also snapped a four-game losing streak against the Golden Rams.
