Men's tennis has three-match win streak snapped with 7-0 loss to Chestnut Hill

Box Score Millersville, Pa. - Three singles matches went the distance, but the Millersville University men's tennis team was on the wrong end of all of them in its 7-0 loss to Chestnut Hill on Sunday afternoon. The Marauders were celebrating their Senior Day and Peter Landis and Pearson Clary were honored prior to the start of the match.

Millersville falls to 5-13, while the Griffins improve to 14-4.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Rodrigo Lorencin and Frank Yanni won a nail-biting flight two doubles match which saw them come out victorious in an 8-6 tiebreaker.
• Carlos Martinez-Lucas lost a very close flight one singles match. After dropping the first set, 6-4, he bounced back to take the second set, 6-2, but ultimately fell in the final set, 10-7.
• Yanni also lost a well-fought singles match at flight three. He won the first set, 6-3, but lost the second set, 6-2, and the third set, 6-1.
• Jose Alcazar played the other three-set singles match at flight six. He dropped the first set, 6-3, but took the second set, 6-1, before narrowly losing the final set, 7-5. 

NOTES
• Chestnut Hill now leads the all-time series against the Marauders, 5-3. 

UP NEXT
• Millersville will be back in action on Saturday, April 13 when it hosts Virginia State University at 1 p.m. on the McComsey Tennis Courts.
