Women's tennis loses to West Chester, 7-0

Box Score Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville University women's tennis team dropped its final home match of the regular season to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East opponent and the No. 6 team in the Atlantic Region, West Chester, on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 7-0.

The Marauders (8-15, 2-2 PSAC) remain in third place in the conference standings, while the Golden Rams (11-5, 5-0 PSAC) have now won nine of their last 10 matches.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
Victoria Hanus and Kelsey Heckert earned the lone victory of the match for Millersville with a 6-1 win at flight three doubles.
Katina Jones lost a very well-fought flight one singles match, 7-6 (8-6), 6-4. 

NOTES
Victoria Hanus and Kelsey Heckert improve to 4-0 in doubles this season against PSAC opponents. 
• West Chester has now won six-straight matches against the Marauders, but Millersville still holds a slim lead in the all-time series, 21-20.

UP NEXT
• The Marauders will conclude their regular season when they travel to Shippensburg on Wednesday, April 24 for a 3 p.m match. The only team that can catch Millersville in the PSAC East standings is Kutztown who would have to win both of its remaining matches against Bloomsburg on Saturday, April 20 and East Stroudsburg on Friday, April 26 in order to surpass the Marauders for a playoff berth.
